After years of struggle with mental health issues, I was extremely weak. ‘at peace’ was born out of a need to do something that I love while being gentle with myself. With great intent, I have made life very slow over the past year, and I have become more observant of the shapes and colors that surround me every day.

Throughout the collection there are lines and dots that visually represent the multiple paths to peace, as everyone’s journey is personal. The choice of earthy tones give an imagery of nature’s healing properties. Lastly, asymmetrical lines, faded strokes, and imbalanced shapes resemble the beauty of imperfections.

My mission with this collection is to create art that brings calmness to a space; this is how I honor my creativity and desire to overcome my mental illness.
